Hacked together a SID player using Parallax’s Propeller processor (now known as the “P1”) using an old floppy cable and SD card.

Here’s a demo playing back a SID-tune someone else wrote (can’t remember who).

This isn’t a digital audio player with audio samples of SID music, the hardware is emulating a real SID chip and streaming all the parameter changes from the SD card to the emulator.

I later rebuilt this as a permanent board to gift to a friend.

A few months later, I attempted to make a MIDI controlled version of this. I have a video that I’ll post someday.
